There is no optical option for my home cinema. Is there any way around this so that i can connect my sky box and x box 360 to my home cinema?

Can't believe that this new home cinema does not have this!
Any help would be great.
Thanks!!

There is no way to make an optical connection if it is not there.

If you want to go with optical cables then I suggest you take the stereo back and get one with optical in and outs.

Sorry

Optical cable is for audio signal only. You need to connect your Sky HD using HDMI cable to the tv and your home theater to the tv using HDMI cable. HDMI cable carries the video and audio signal. Then use the optical cable to connect the Shy HD to the home theater in a box. Keep in mind that most tv program are in stereo only and not surround sound. Only those tv program with the dolby digital is in surround sound. Your DVD player does not have an HDMI cable input, it is a player only and it should be the output. Open your owners manual of the tv and along with the home theater in a box for the proper direction and connection. Hope this will help you out.

The home cinema should have some type of digital audio input. It is either optical or coax. Even receivers with HDMI inputs also have separate digital audio inputs. If your receiver has no optical input, it should have a coax input. If your sky box and 360 do not have coax outputs, get an optical to coax adapter such as this http://www.smarthome.com/77709.html
