What causes "forward head posture"? I'm just wondering because I have it REALLY bad and it's very painful at times.

Yeah I'm already going to the chiropractor. I go three times a week to get adjusted. If I don't it could get REALLY bad and I could get arthritis. And I'm only 16! It's being taken care of, I just want ideas on what COULD have caused it?

For sure your table is not the right table for you. You need to sit up straight in order to have a good posture. But maybe, everytime you read, there is the tendency that you need to stoop down so as to see clearly. Better see your eye doctor for you might have eye problem.

Darling, see a chiropractor (I prefer ones who use a tool called an activator) and a massage therapist.
And read a book on muscles, pain and referred pain to get a full understanding of what is going on. The book is The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.

hi yes you need to work on your posture to prevent pain and discomfort. however if you have had problems with your neck "angling" forward you need to consult a physio or chiropractor. this condition is referred to as Kyphosis and could cause further complications if not treated properly. best of luck!
