First of all, none of the apostles were perfect, saintly characters. And as far as hellenization goes, probably every last one of them knew Greek. It was Greek that was the language used (other than Aramaic at first) to spread the Gospel, not Hebrew. Some had or used Greek names on their travels.
To answer your question specifically: I think they would be shocked by the grandeur of it all. They were far more used to small gatherings of believers in homes and such. Yet, I also suspect that they would be pleased (if you will) that former pagan religious places of their arch enemy (Rome) have been taken over by the Christian establishment. I also think they would be quite shocked that people today hold them in such awe. And I also think they would be disappointed that their religion did not take root among the Jewish people, including their own descendants.
One sees the introduction of formerly pagan symobls and such into the Church when there is a need. Example: the people of Ireland knew about the three-leaflet shamrock, and St. Patrick used that to illustrate the Catholic belief in the trinity. And it is through the monks of the Irish Church that much of learning, including religious learning, was saved.
And by the way, the Greek used in the New Testament is written and used in a "semetic way." These Jewish authors and scribes were well-versed in common Greek at the time. They were not so gun-ho on their Jewish backgrounds that they would rely on a pure form of the Hebrew language or culture to get their points across, not only to the Gentiles, but to those Jews already living in foreign countries who were themselves quite metropolitan and assimulated.

Don't you remember that Jesus said the wolves would come in and try to devour the faithful. He also so said that if Father God waited to long to send Him back that even the faithful would be deceived. See how much the "church in america" has to answer for. So many denominations have a new god and it is called money. Buildings and people who don't tithe for the right reasons. Doctrines which cause people to see Father God as welfare central. Those who are not thankful for blessings but want more. They actually pray for new cars and homes when the majority of the world lives on $600 a years. We should be so ashamed.

The apostles would be accustomed to the solemnity and holiness of a Catholic or Eastern Orthodox worship. The pattern of Bible reading, sermon, and Holy Communion would be the same as in the beginning of Christianity. They would be shocked at the dancing, and head-banging, and noisiness of so-called born again churches. Christmas was intended by Church fathers to replace the pagan festival of the Sun. They succeeded because now we worship Jesus and not the sun on this pagan day. Easter commemorates the Resurrection of Jesus and nobody recalls the pagan holiday any more. Success for Jesus again. In the ACTS of Apostles, the Christians worshipped on Sunday, because Jesus rose from death on Sunday. Jesus gave the apostles the power to govern the Church and if necessary make changes which are for the good of the Church. THe Church is successful in making people forget the pagan worship of the Sun , the pagan Easter connections. Christmas is for Jesus and Easter for his glorious ressurrection. Good job Church! More glory for God!

The Catholic Church still remembers Christ, exactly as the apostles did, celebrating his death until he comes again, and receiving him, body, blood, soul, and divinity, as mediator, high priest, brother, king, and God.
As for you messianics and your ilk, don't forget that anyone who ever attempted to operate under the law (including Moses himself) was never saved by it.
As for Hellenism, the Greeks were far superior to the Hebrews in the areas of philosophy and metaphysics, as well as general academics and language.
That's why Jesus and the apostles used the Greek scriptures, not the Hebrew ones, and why the church adopted the best available scholarship, which then was Greek, in its' mission to spread God's truth to the whole world.
Quit deluding yourself. You're just making a bad situation worse.
Your position is indefensible.
What you really need to do is become Catholic.

What the world sees as Christianity is the strong delusion that God sends, that they should believe a lie, who love not the truth but have pleasure in unrighteousness. The remnant is the body of Christ, his church, those who are coming out of the false religious system that the world calls Christianity. The larger part is the outer court mentioned in Revelation 11:2, it's not even measured.

I completely agree with you! This isn't exactly classified information.....the true origins of all the pagan festivals are all over the Internet and encyclopedia's. I just love seeing Christians in their WWJD shirts. They wear them and stick them on there bumper yet they have no idea. Yeshua followed and preached the Torah, he kept the feasts, he ate kosher, he kept sabbath (Saturday) holy.........how many Christians in their WWJD shirts actually do what he did?
Church is nothing more than a big play all complete with singers, actors, and dancers.......It took me 20 years to finally figure this out, I only wish that other people will quit putting their entire faith on what their preacher tells them and to instead go verify and look everything up themselves!

I think they would be really disappointed. For the sake of tradition, like you mentioned above, we've incorporated pagan traditions and left behind the purity and simplicity of the Gospel. Christianity is failing because the love of Christ doesn't dwell in our hearts and people are not impressed or converted by celebrations and dogmas (not to say that neither have their place in Christianity) I just think that if more Christians acted like Christ there would be more of them. And that would be something to make the Apostle's hearts glad.

Churches are businesses. They are operating to make money. Religion itself is all a sham but I respect people wanting to live a life of peace and good.
