besides this meaning his obviously quick,what can it mean......for instance he counted this sentence..."the australian pool and spa exhibition" in 2 seconds and constantly reads and adds the amount of letters in a road sign ect alll the time....he says he can remember how many letters are in every word....?..any theories?

sorry,he doesnt have any form of autism....found out he just has a gift...

had it in my childhood, n could manage for other skills just don push the boy hard ..act as if hes normally smart ..ths hes got is a plus

Sounds like autism, he might have high functioning autism known as Asperger's Syndrome. My friend's little brother has it and he is very good with math, not as good as when it comes to social skills... but he's still an awesome and wonderful little boy...things like math and obsessions (such as numbers of letters and repeating patterns) are very easy for him, and I've heard even Einstein had this "disorder". Social skills will be a big stumbling block, so its best to get him tested so you can work on this together. :-)

wow, that is so cool! I can't even add big numbers mentally. That only means two things. 1. Your son a whiz on math and is very very cool and amazing. 2. Wow, he's smarter than me how old is he?!?
