O.K. First of all, you need to check your TV and stereo to see if they have RCA jacks(outputs). If they have those outputs, you will need to buy an RCA cord. You can usually just buy the two RCA cables at Walmart for about 9 dollars. They will have Red and White ends usually. You have to remember to check those outputs on your TV to make sure they are the audio outputs. They are usually labeled. Then you have to check you stereo to make sure those jacks are the audio inputs. They will usually be labeled as well. Check your stereo to see if it has an Aux channel. There should be a button on there that will say Aux. This is the channel that you want to select to receive the audio. Just hook up the cords and set you stereo to Aux and prepare for a fun time...lol...Oh, and you may have to go into your TV setup and check your audio settings. Sometimes you will have a settings in there for your output. Be sure to see if it has an option to enable your audio out. It should be labeled as either audio output or audio channel, or something to that nature. I hope that helps.

Easy, on the back of your tv you should see a red hole and a white hole that say audio out. On your stereo you should see the same hole and say audio in. If you have the cables (usually come with the stereo, or a dvd player or some such device) just plug white into white and red into red and set your stereo to aux or tv (depends on your stereo)....and if you dont have red and white cables red white and yellow also works or you can find them mad cheap at walmart. They're called rca cables.

On newer TV's & receiver's they have optical audio inputs & outputs. If this your situation then all you need is an optical audio cable from the TV to the receiver. If not, then use the red & white cables from your TV's audio out to your receiver's audio in.
