two parallel resistors R1 and R2 are connected in series with two other parallel resistors R3 and R4. R1=1/8 ohms R2=1/4 ohms,R3 =7 ohms R4 =3.5ohms.Find the resistance of this circuit.

Total resistance = (R1R2 / R1+R2) + (R3R4 / R3+R4)
= 0.0833 + 2.333
2.4163 ohms

R parallel with 2R gives 2R/3.
So 1/8 parallel with Â¼ is 1/12
And 3.5 parallel with 7 is 2x3.5/3 =7/3 or28 /12
The total resistor is 29/12 Ohms.
