also i have had horse meat in Europe and over in the US and the color was a deep red. Its a little cheaper then regular beef but it has a gamey taste like venison...makes great jerkey

The rarer a steak is the better flavor it has. It is juicy and yummy.

Raw steak, if very fresh and lean is probably better for you than cooked, when oil and other fattening things are added.

I do not know why, but I find it hard to resist a chunk of raw beef while preparing it for stew. Maybe it is because I am anaemic and need some iron.

Make sure the eggs are fresh too and from a reliable source.

Raw steak is fine as long as it is good quality and not too fatty. I love steak tartare but it's not something I'd eat regularly as it's a little hard to digest. Horse meat is nice too, it makes excellent burgers.

the lime they put in it cooks the meat a little.and is it not like eating sushi?
