Wow, dude. If you go around killing the 6 to 10 women and children for the sake of getting that one bad guy, any moral backing that is there now would be more than gone. Your comment does bring out their reasoning for killing the women and children in the markets - because they are slinking cowards. All those extremists can do effectively is kill civilians. Eventually the world will wake up and their own people will turn on them. You're also talking about the same type of guys who hit us at the height of the .com bust which continued our already sliding stockmarket that was at 10k during the expansion, and was already in the low 9k's when they struck, down to 8k. But, they took credit for this...whatever...like a couple of buildings ruined our economy. Sure it hurt a couple sectors, but look what it did for security and eletronics. Now, we're sitting at 12k on the big board. The same thing will happen there. The residents may be unhappy that the US is unable to stop the violence, but they also know it's not us causing it. When their lazy azz army gets off their backsides, we'll leave and they can tear each other to shreds as they see fit.

If you want to get specific, the USA could use the same tactic that it used on Japan. However, this war resembles that of Vietnam, a police type, hoping that by aiding the Iraqi police, we can assist rather than take complete control of the situation. It gives support to the Iraq military and police, while at the same time, gives the impression that the USA is not completely in charge. Iraq needs to take control of their own situation and gain their own freedom. We haven't unleashed full power yet and hopefully we won't have to. Remember, we haven't started the draft yet.

America should support in strenghtening the iraqi military by developing an armed force that is capable of restoring stability in the country, the war has change its phase; the american government had already given the iraqui people a choice, its up for the iraqi people to keep it. The best thing America can do is to provide them the proper military trainning, and let our boys back home, its their war now. Lets supply the iraq government them with arms as we use to do, enough for american blood.

Truly amazing reading your view point and the view of some others on this subject. Its really amazing how I guess its ok to break a few eggs to make the omelette, or how the means we use no matter how despicable are good if our ultimate goal is peace...albeit our version of peace.
and we are the so called good guys. Very interesting that you would wipe out an entire village to get one sniper. Very interesting indeed. I think Hitler would have indeed loved to have you in his SS.

America is not afraid, it is just not wise to kill innocent people in order to punish terrorists, even if they're hiding behind those innocent people because that is one clear act of terrorism too. Enough harm is done already!
Iraqis are also people and the lives of innocent ones are as precious as any life.

Excessive collateral damage is not a solution. As in any war, when faced with new tactics, we must adapt our tactics to respond.
