this is a SCAM. If you win the lottery you never have to pay for it. The letters are rubbish. Learn from this experience and move on.

You are not a true winner because there is no money to win. It is a lie to get you to get a credit card so they can use it and leave you with the debt they charge up.

Tell them you don't have a credit card OR bank account and tell them just to send you the check. You won't hear from them again.

This is a huge, huge scam. Do not reply in any way, shape or form. I see people getting scammed like this all the time and they are hurt big time for it. Run, don't walk, away from these people and report them to the local authorities.

You should get a credit card right away.
I won the Freelotto last year.
I gave them my credit card number and they sent me a check for $55,000,000. Now I am rich.
Get a credit card!
Don't delay!
You deserved it!

Have you ever wondered why you must GIVE UP something to get something you have allegedly won?

This doesn't sound free to me.

Sounds like you must first go through some drama to collect the winnings.

Oh, sure. Why would they need your credit card? They're supposed to be paying you, right?
People like you are why there is crime.
