I know three Richards, all of them are clever and have a good status at their work place. Two of them are lanky, but the other has a similar nose.
I believe that most guy's called Martin and David are known to be clever too.
Cathy's for example are very loud and opinionated.

Does anyone share this assessment? I know it's a very broad question, but I find it interesting.

Names are just labels created and given by human being for identification. But personality, look, physics and thoughts are designed by the creator. We cannot say James born in England will have a nose similar to James born in Japan?

Its just a general curiousity that we have when see another person by the same name should have the same qualities. But there is a concept called NAMEOLOGY, why don you visit this site?

Numerology is any belief in divine, mystical or other special relationship between a number and some coinciding events. It's an occult science that I consider fascinating. I started to study numerology because of my obsession with Mathematics, Geometry. What I discovered it's really incredibble.

The best site you can visit is http://numerology.toptips.org

Hahaha! But remember that that would be in the eyes of some people. Not at all times. But taking the logic of your question further - that would also mean that we are all almost similar when one considers hereditary aspects etc. But that's an interesting observation!!!

No,I don't agree.
My name is Serena, and I share my first name and last name with the famous tennis player also named Serena, the one who has a sister named Venus. She is black, solid, tall, and very confident and outgoing.I am not African-American,I am quite thin, tall compared to my parents, but still shorter than some others my own age,and I am quiet and reserved (though I do enjoy sport).
It is merely coincidence that several people who share the same name, share personalities.

Yes. One's first name (and other names, to a lesser extent) contribute to their personality development. So, on average, people with an ugly name will grow up feeling "unsexier" than people with a cool name, for instance.

This observation applies mainly to personality traits. Unless parents pick their babies' names after looking at their face, names won't have much correlation with physical looks.

If you look into the study of numerology, you will find that your name does have alot to do with who you are. Its like asking if all virgo's are the same. I dont think we are the same in looks, but more in personality. And ofcourse if your personalities are similar, then you would have similar taste in style.

I certainly think that people from certain social classes have a tendency to call their children similar sorts of names - consider "Tabitha, Jessica, Imogen, Isabella..." or for boys - "Edward, Cuthbert, Francis" - what sort of people do you think of?

Then think of "Sharon, Michelle, Chantelle(!)". Now what are you thinking?

I know it's a sweeping generalisation and it's not nice to class people. Personally, I know a disproportinate number of people called Dave, Chris and Fiona, and some of them inevitably have similar features but I think it's more to do with the background of people I'm friends with - which is ultimately similar to my own.

According to Jewish philosophy (or Kabbalah), names come from the soul; your name signifies an attribute (or many) of your soul. Each name fits the person, because names have deeper meanings and cosmological/metaphysical/symbolic significance.
