I'm trying to find data on the top volume dealerships by state, particularly in Nevada and California. For example Towbin Dodge in Nevada claims to be the biggest dealership in the country. Where can this be proven and how many cars did they sell. Somewhere the dmv should have this info available.

that information is not really posted for the public. its more of an internal thing. you have to know someone that works in the dealership. at least that is the way it is in my dealership. i sell hondas.

towbin dodge is a big dealer but not the largest volumn dealer. earnhardt dodge in phoenix arizona still holds the top honors i believe. the best place to find specific numbers is in "automotive news" but you have to subscribe to the paper. its what dealers look at and they give year end numbers for many dealerships and talk about top producers.
