Now, if only you spent as much energy actually trying to understand scripture in its entirety instead of picking out bits and pieces to support your unfair accusations against God. God does not sponser the rape of women (in fact, He isn't even talking about the rape of women in these verses), and Jeremiah is a prophetic book. How do you expect to understand verses taken out of context in a prophetic book if you have no understanding of even the basics?
I'll be nice and take the time to answer you anyway though. God is referring to Jerusalem in this passage, not an actual woman. The people have committed adultery against the Lord by worshipping idols and trusting in false gods. In other words, He is comparing their unfaithfulness to that of whores.

Nobody can harm God. And God does not sponser the rape of women. God is talking about Israel and their sins. Try reading ALL of chapter 13 instead of picking and choosing what you think the verses are saying.

If there is a God- IF there is- how can you possibly argue with him? First off, that verse does not call for, or condone rape. second, how old are you? 20 something? probably in college? God did, hands down. How can someone say "the creator doesn't commit crimes against humanity" is genocide not a crime against humanity, from the "all forgiving and loving" god? are you running out of intelligent questions? what is wrong with you? there has got to be something you can do instead of asking such foolish questions. read a book......join a club where you can meet other people........take dancing lessons........meet people in the chat rooms........research on different topics online......anything but stop asking silly questions that are not worth answering. there are so many things that people can share and learn from in yahoo answers... there has got to be something else you can think of that we can answer and where other people can learn from....not childish, immature ones.
