The answer in relation to infant baptism cited three scriptures from Acts where whole families were ' converted'.
This is NOT proof that babies were baptised, because the Bible clearly states that an understanding is necessary for baptism. Babies/ infants simply do not have that level of understanding.
The only way for this answer to be rated best, is not because it is correct, but because of the large number of Catholics on this site...voting. And not wanting to upset their priests. Its still wrong!.

Here is my complete answer:

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states, "Born with a fallen human nature and tainted by original sin, children also have need of the new birth in Baptism to be freed from the power of darkness and brought into the realm of the freedom of the children of God, to which all men are called."

Infant baptism is not a new thing. There are non-biblical documented sources starting in the second century telling of infant Baptism.

There are even several passages in the Bible where whole households were baptized. This would include everyone who lived there, men, women, children, and infants.

Acts 16:15, "After she and her household had been baptized"

Acts 16:33, "then he and all his family were baptized at once."

Acts 18:8, "came to believe in the Lord along with his entire household, and many of the Corinthians who heard believed and were baptized."

1 Corinthians 1:16, "I baptized the household of Stephanas"

St. Paul wrote that baptism has replaced circumcision (Col 2:11-12), and in Judaism circumcision was performed primarily on infants.

With love in Christ.

The proof exists in the fact that God's true church has always baptized people of every age, since the earliest days.

The truly faithful don't need explicit scripture to prove what is a defacto historical and theological reality.

And you actually believe that the Holy Spirit, the spirit of wisdom and truth, indwelling a human soul, cannot impart sufficient understanding for that soul to make a clear declaration of faith?

Infant baptism in the Catholic Church is the ultimate demonstration of salvation without works, where the church freely supplies all that is necessary, including the faith, and the infant truly becomes a temple of the Holy Spirit, an adopted child of God, a member of the church, and co-heir with Jesus Christ.

And baptism is always 100% effective in achieving it's stated purpose, no matter what the age of the baptized, simply because God desires all to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of his truth.

IMACATHOLIC could have told all this to you as well, because Catholics actually understand ALL God's truth ... not just what he included in the scriptures.

You should try it sometime, instead of rationalizing something you'll probably never be able to figure out for yourself.

i have answered such countless darn questions at this element it would not quite count number. If I answered one hundred questions in a row and did not get staggering answer for even 'one' of them, my BA% may purely flow down by technique of share factors, not significant.

Maybe because he had "Best Answer" 45% Of the time. I am not Catholic. So, I am assuming you are more correct than him, hmmmm. Sounds like you are just anti-catholic. Ever heard of freedom of religion.

Alot of people have nothing better to do than create dozens of profiles, ask questions and then Answer them with OTHER profiles. Then they give themselves the right answer.

I can see no other way that a name like imacatholic would get that many. Most fundies are very weary of catholics. Most catholics are too lukewarm to be on here. And most atheists only reward insulting sarcastic answers.

Let me answer your question with another question. What are you going to do about it? Complain to Yahoo? Why don't you, if you feel the system is unfair,.

If you look at his answers you will see that many of them contain nothing but scriptures. The thing is, when a christian asks a question about religion and this dude comes along with his quotes these already brainwashed sheeple will eat it up no matter what he says. You can quote John 3:16 for some of these questions and still get chosen as best answer. Its a cult my friend, we need to do something about it soon.
