Me and my buddy like the same girl. We're all good friends and she's not interested in him that way and he's totally into her. He doesn't really get it either. I don't really want to lose him as a friend, but I'm really into her.

I am looking for an educated answer here.

Bros before hoes. There are plenty of other women in the world, you should both move on to someone else.

You may not think it's an "educated" answer, but it's the correct answer, and the truth.

Look at the other answers. Most of them are telling you the very same thing.

Growing up is SOOOOOOO complicated. You say you are really into her, but how does she feel about you. If she feels the same way about you as she does about your buddy, then just all remain friends and enjoy each others company. If she is into you also, I think it would be a good idea for all of you to sit down together and talk it out. Lets face it, when two good friends like the same girl, and the girl likes one of the guys, it will change the friendship triangle. Do you want to risk your buddy's friendship for the girl, or do you want to risk the possible romance for your buddy? Tough question. If you all cannot compomise here, then you will need to accept the loss of one or the other. That is the best suggestion I can give you.

Who is going to be there in the long run. This girl or friend? You might want to think about the relationships instead of a girl. But if this girl is really something, talk to him, or give it time.

Two things you could do here: 1) Just tell him you like her. 2) Just go for a different girl. There are plenty of fish in the sea.

If he's your good friend then you shouldn't have a problem with telling him that you like her or you want to ask her out. If he has a problem with it don't do it if he's your GOOD FRIEND but if he doesn't then go for it!

Tell him the truth, that is the best policy. If he is your true friend, he will accept it. If not, at least you got the girl.
