People should not be offended at all. Long before we had vaccines a simple sneeze would kill someone.
And, God Bless actually means God Bless you did not die.

there is data for the existence of Jesus coming from historians from the era as nicely. maximum folk of historians and anthropologists have faith Jesus existed. there is likewise the Bible.somebody had to declare the failings reported in there. And whether his call became Jesus or Bob would not rely. There at the instant are not any movies of anyone's existence decrease back then via fact movies did no longer exist. that's certainly an exasperating fact. no person can carry out magic or miracles. What you fail to comprehend is that the Bible is symbolic in many strategies. Its takes an knowledgeable suggestions to comprehend its which ability. regrettably, many fundamentalists and atheists assume the Bible would desire to be taken actually. Praying (no longer preying) via itself won't help issues. you will desire to take administration of your own existence and not assume God to do each little thing for you. yet believers nonetheless pray for coaching and capability, and to help them make confusing judgements. you have each appropriate to think of the form you do. however the form you notice the positioned up makes you seem somewhat ignorant approximately Christianity. And your remark which you do no longer elect to pay attention from church goers or individuals is rather bigoted of you.

I dont believe in god, but it is one of those things I say out of habit and respect to people. I have never once thought about it offending someone and I could honestly care less. Its like wishing people Merry Christmas yet they dont celebrate it. Tough luck.

It doesn't bug me. I just say "I wish" back to the people who say "God Bless you". Or "If only He had, I wouldn't be in this mess..." You know, things like that.

i believe in God and i too have pondered this question.
but what i came out to was this, in saying "God bless" it is my way of telling God to bless that person. really i need no "ok" from whoever i chose to wish God to bless.
i figure if i say it and someone gets upset, i should go the extra step and pray for that person for they need God in their life.
all in all, i am always joyful and kind when i say it and i mean the best for God's blessing upon every person.
God bless you all!

No it doesn't. I am an atheist and invoke God's name dozens of colloquial ways (i.e, "for God's sake, what in God's name are you doing?, God 'darn' it, Oh my God, God forbid, etc...) And even if it's not colloquial and actually religious, where's the harm?

If one is so easily offended by such a simple goodwilled gesture, it speaks more of their pettiness and intolerance more than any issue about God's existence.
