He cares about her but the girl told him she didn't know how to do with him and her BF who is sometimes abusive. The guy on IM always ask her where are you because she told she was going back to America. Now the girl told the guy she really likes him and sends him alots of sms msgs he just waits for the msgs but doesn't answer her. The girl thinks he cares for her but doesn't know what he is thinking he is a really nice guy and not after her for sex or anything they are real friends..Before she gave him alot of drama but he told her he could never get angry at her..but whats with the silent treatment. Before he would come online but now since he doesn't know where she is he won't come online anymore..

Perhaps he is worried about getting into a relationship without knowing what geographical difficulties he is letting himself in for. Pretty practical approach to life if you ask me.
