Well, you do not specify the type of detox. However, when I was getting off of prescription meds for HBP and went though my detox diet, I had a lot of stir fried veggies with a bit of olive oil. I even put asparagus in it. Wow, was it good...onion, broccoli, garlic. I felt like I had a feast. Then after 2 weeks I added small amounts of fish to the diet. Fish is important because of the Omega 3 oils we need to help fight bad cholesterol. Then 2 weeks down the road from that I would have fish, the stir fried veggies and added an orange, which is healthy and a banana.

However, if you have a good juicer, they are worth more than anything. You can take the fresh veggies and juice them and add apple juice for sweetener...if you need it. I just love using the tomatoes though, like having V8, but this is better because of the freshness of the just juiced veggies. That alone will detoxify in a couple of weeks and you'll have more energy than you've ever had.

So, that's what i did and just a suggestion. Good luck with all your efforts and I hope things work out really well for you.

The Liver Cleansing Diet is a great way to detox your body that allows you to eat three meals a day plus snacks and desert. It was written by an Australian doctor called Sandra Cabot and I'm not sure if it was released overseas, but you should be able to find a copy on ebay.
The detox program goes for 8 weeks, I'm currently in the fourth week and I"ve lost almost 5 kilos. My skin looks great, I have much more energy, my mood has lifted, I am more mentally alert and I'm sleeping really well.
I recommend this diet to anyone who wants to improve their overall health.

Fresh, organic fruit is good, like grapes and apples. Fresh vegetable juice is often used or fresh lemon juice in water. You could add extra fiber and lots of fresh water. There are very many "plans". I would suggest the books by Bernard Jensen.

Organic fruits and veggies would be best I'm sure. Along with drinking distilled water.
