I'm trying to get over an abusive relationship and I'm pretty lonely. And Valentine's day is just going to make me feel worse and alone. I don't know where to meet new good people, since I've just had the one exceptionally bad long term relationship. How can I not feel like a sack of crap on Valentine's day?

BE INDEPENDENT !! stop being so dependent on boys to make your holidays better, finally your alone for once, take advantage of it. What havnt you dont for a long time that you really want to do? .. Get together with a few friends, find a new date for the night, watch a movie, be a couch potato.........

Why is valentine's day so important? To me it's just an ordinary day..no big deal...so why make a big fuss outta it? If i have a gf, everyday is valentine's day with her...that shld be the way, dun u agree? Does it mean that u will be like a crap on Valentine's Day and be well the next? Grow up girl...there are plenty of nice people in this world....msg me if ur looking for someone to talk too. Am alone too...cheers! Don't Worry Be Happy!

Oh honey,you should feel like a winner! It takes alot of courage to get out of an abusive relationship.as far as being lonely I'm sorry but it happens surround yourself w/ fam and friends and when you lest expect it a good person will sweep you off your feet! Just think of it as another day good luck!

You do not need a day declared by some ancient people to feel loved. Yes it is a day for expressing love to your companion but do not get desperate my dear, if you do you will make great mistakes. There are more valentine's days to come, wait for your turn for love - it will come your way. Good things come to those who wait.

Go out to a club with some of your friend from the job, they are problem going out after work,they do have after work set and they will be having them all over on that day. You might get lucky.

Go to coffee shops or go out to clubs to meet people. Going clubing at night could always be good! You could meet anyone there!

call some of your friends and go out with them.
Valentine's day doesn't exactly mean that you have to spend that day with someone you like.
