Why do they do that?

i am a pretty, curvey girl but people always pick on me for being short, i am 5 ft 1 and i have beautiful features and curves and i have a good personality so why do they look pass that and focus on my height? i feel like i am disfugured or something, they say some really hurtful things.

i am 25 and i suffered from it through school, university and work, and i don't believe it is jealousy behind it, are guys jealous of me?i mean even family members do it too.

People tend to focus on what is wrong with a person rather than what is good I am not saying being 5 ft 1 is wrong it just is as these others percieve.They know that it your height bothers you and they jump on your weekness like a bunch of wild animals.
Maybe they dont know how bad it hurts your feelings or dont care either way You should speak up and defend yourself.There is nothing wrong with you.You sound fine to me If nothing else works beat them down,or insult them back just as rudely.

Kids can be so cruel. The ones that do this a immature brats as well as a little jealous of a good looking girl I'll bet. Alot of people who are famous and done great things are short in stature but giants among their piers. President Harry S. Truman , Farrah Fawcett, Humphrey Bogart, Albert Einstein just to name a few. Let it " roll off " so to speak and hang with the people that appreciate you.

I'm a shorty too...5 ft 2 in. I use it to my advantage. Remember as a short girl there are things on high shelves you can't reach. Wait for a hunky guy to come along and ask for his help. Guys like to be helpful. They also like girls shorter than them. Believe me, your lack of height is an asset, not a hindrance. We can always get taller by standing on a chair, stool, or ladder if we need to, but tall girls can never get shorter. Really, we have the advantage in life, not them.

I think short girls are beautiful, and I don't mean that in a gay/lesbian way at all. lol I just mean in general, I think they're cute. I'm 5'3" and love being that height. I almost wish I was a little bit shorter. I think girls that are really tall aren't that attractive in my opinion. I just always thought short girls were cute. Wait till you find a guy that loves you for being that height.

Don't react to what those retards are saying. If you act like you don't care and don't give them a response I bet you they will find someone else more entertaining to pick on. Plus, most short girl I know seem to be getting all the action.

Perhaps they don't know? Are they doing these things to hurt you or just trying to joke around. Tell them you do not think its funny and would like them to stop.

I am also beautiful and tall, yet people complain about my height. No matter how beautiful you may be, people always see a mistake in you. What you have to do is love and appreciate yourself. No one is perfect.

You must still be in highschool; when you finish high school, go to university or to the workplace, you'll see that people mature and won't see stupidness like what they're saying now.

If you're pretty, then you're pretty, height has nothing to do with it.

It's because their jealous I have a friend that people did that too she was very pretty and we'll she just ignored it and laughed at it in their faces. She showed them that she didn't care what they thought and you know just be you and once they realize that you like your height then hopefully they will stop.
