to someone older than me? i just cant seem to like guys my age. is that strange? well im not talking about old men or anything..just well im 16 and i tend to go guys in their late 20s. well my last boyfriend was 20. is this strange?

It isn't strange, but for now you are better off sticking to guys at least still in their teens. You don't want to get anyone in trouble.

no it's not strange. i was attracted to older guys when i was that age. some people are attracted to people other than them. every person is different. the thing is that you're 16, and that can be a problem for you being that you're under 18. i'd be really careful if i were you until you became of age. it won't seem so bad when you get older, like 20. but beware, just because some guys are older than you doesn't mean that they're mature. good luck!

I know a lot of women your age who go for guys in there 20's. It's not because your weird. It's because (truthfully) Women mature quicker than men. And women look for a stable male to be with. And you being 16...going for a person who is in there 20's mens that your looking for someone who is more mature and stable than the Boyish 16 yr old kids around you. But it'll end up being a lot of trouble with the law.. The saying goes for us guys...
16 gets you 20. Meaning...having a 16 yr old G/F gets you 20 years in prison.

That's perfectly normal as long as you keep the age difference within some reasonable borders. 5 years is OK - that's the difference between me and my boyfriend and we've been together for more than 2 years already. But 10 years is already too much - men that are so much older than you have completely different things in mind than a 16-year old.

That's common. Most girls mature faster than boys. Therefore, when you are 16 you are on the same level as boys at 20. Just be careful. If you are sexual with these men it is illegal even if you say it is ok. That's why you should wait until you are 18 do go that route. (maybe too much information). Make sure your parents are cool with the older guys too.

An older guy is 20??!! Geeeezzze. . .
The four difference does not make the guy "older". Most 20 year olds I've dealt with were intellectually on the same level as my 11 year old grand son.
However, the legal gap is huge. He is considered an adult and your are, legally, still a child. I sure hope you're not sleeping with these guys. He would go to prison for Statutory Rape and be listed as a Registered Sex Offender for the rest of his life.

It's actually more common than you'd think for women to go after older guys. Women tend to want guys who are mature, stable, and can provide for a family. Obviously, you're not going to find that in guys your own age, so you tend to gravitate towards older guys. The downside is that society considers these sorts of relationships taboo and unacceptable, and in most cases, they usually fail anyway because the age gap is so great that either the girl changes her mind about what she wants in a guy or the guy decides to go after a girl his own age.

Whats strange is you dating older men at your age. You shouldn't be dating at ALL! but since you are, why not go for someone around your age, lets say 16-17...older men just want sex...so I suggest you finish school and read your books little girl!

Not so strange. Maybe you're more mature than most girls your age so you prefer guys who are more mature than the guys your age. I think people are attracted to people who are the same "soul" age as they are. I'm in my 30s, but I look and act like I'm in my 20s, so I tend to like guys who are in their 20s.

I know it's going to sound contradictory, but yes and no. At your age, I think it's best to stick with someone your own age. In your 20's, I think it's perfectly acceptable to like older men. I'm one of those people too, so I completely understand where you're coming from.

I used to be the same way, you'll get over it when you start to feel old and date guys that are younger than you. Really I dont know if thats it or if I have always loved 19 & 20 year olds and will always want to date guys that age. Decide for yourself.
