He has never been to California and I want to show him some fun awesome places in Los Angeles and surroudning area..where and what should we do since I have been here my whole life!

What is LA known for besides weather... It's beaches right? So why not take him to Venice and Santa Monica. Why not take him to one of the 2 Getty Musems. Take him out to dinner at Plaza Olvera or... If you wish to show him a different look of LA, How about the view from the 22 floor of a skyscraper, I would suggest taking him out to dinner at the Windows Resturant in Downtown LA. While your in Downtown why not hit any of the cool lounges that are now popping up all over Downtown and surrounding area. Wanna do the club thing try to hit the Abbey in West Hollywood (Very Mixed Crowd) or Circus Disco on Saturday.
If you have time then I would suggest to the turist thing like Hollywood Blvd, Disneyland, Magic Mountain, and Citywalk.

You can spend a whole day in and around Hollywood. Be sure to take him to the Hollywood History Museum, which gives a cool behind-the-scenes look at the film industry. Laugh at all the tacky souvenir shops, and maybe stop in at a weird offbeat attraction like the Museum of Death or the Erotic Museum. Catch a film in one of the restored theaters, and enjoy a night in the clubs.
Spend another day on the water. I like the Redondo pier the best of the ones in the area, but any of them are fun. Eat classic L.A. junk food (fish tacos and chili fries), and watch the surfers.

The Grove in LA, Hollywood and Highland, Santa Monica Pier, 3rd Street Promenade, The Block at Orange, hit the dance clubs, comedy club, beaches, six flags, sport bars, etc. Maybe a road trip to San Diego?

The Grove, Universal Walk, Take him to a show taping, Hollywood Chineese theater, Beverly Hills Rodeo Dr., Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, There are so many things to do!!!
