In my opinion, yogurt is not enough for breakfast. Also, I do not always like dairy products with my breakfast. It's a good snack every once in a while. See how much a serving is on Nutrition Facts panel on your yogurt cup and see if you are even getting a full serving- some yogurt cups only contain half a serving or some contain up to two servings per container. It usually depends on the brand of yogurt. Any fruit is a good breakfast alongside some yogurt or by itself. If you have a school menu then take a look at the healthy options available on the menu. Often times schools will serve two or more different sets of breakfast options and you get to mix and match. Usually public schools do so. You can pretty much eyeball what's healthy once you are in a lunch line. For example, you will know the fruit cup is healthier than a fruit pastry (apple turnover, honey bun etc) or that baked chicken is better than fried chicken or pizza. Chips are okay contrary to popular belief. Those peanut butter & jelly graham cracker sandwiches are good too. Milk and a pastry is good if all they have is a salad or something because those bland salads are not filling at all. Never eat the mystery meat.

Yogurt is great at any time, it's actually one of the top ten 'power foods', foods that will help you fight cancer and heart disease.
The Liver Cleansing Diet is a great way to lose weight and detox your body that allows you to eat three meals a day plus snacks and desert. It was written by an Australian doctor called Sandra Cabot and I'm not sure if it was released overseas, but you should be able to find a copy on ebay.
The detox program goes for 8 weeks, I'm currently in the fourth week and I"ve lost almost 5 kilos. My skin looks great, I have much more energy, my mood has lifted, I am more mentally alert and I'm sleeping really well.
I recommend this diet to anyone who wants to improve their overall health.

There is nearly as much sugar in a sugar sweetened yogurt as there is in a can of Coke. So you're actually doing a disservice to yourself. If the yogurt you are eating is lower sugar, sugar free, or plain, then that is a healthy choice for breakfast. Either way, your co-worker should back off. As you mentioned, you don't tell her what to eat.

All yogurt is good for you. Personally I don't want my weight or cholesterol level to go up so I buy the non-fat kind.
There are cool things you can do with yogurt. Buy plain yogurt then mix it with cornflakes. Or stir strawberries into it. Best of all IMHO is to make smoothies in your blender, with a banana, lots of yogurt and whatever fruits you have around, either canned of fresh. You don't have to buy the commercial kinds of yogurt which have often added sugar in them - read the label before you buy.

yogurt is an ok meal for snack but cottage cheese is better with some sort of fruit because it has less sugar than yogurt. however yogurt is a good start for breakfast and at least you are eating breakfast which is another good start because by eating breakfast you are helping out your metabolism
