How can our bodies go "haywire" in so many directions?

I say it like I am surprised to hear of this problem. I never meant she would be lucky. My whole point of view is from feeling TOO much. I can't imagine not feeling at all. I consider both problems HAYWIRE. I appreciate the answers from the kind ppl who offered support to me. I have enough trouble getting ppl to believe that so much pain is possible. I have never heard that NO PAIN was ever an option. Yes, I would feel sorry for them too. I'm not so selfish that ONLY I can hurt and everyone has to be normal. I just said I never heard of NO PAIN!

how come someone in perfect health gets cancer and dies?
IT'S A RANDOM ACT!

our bodies do what they do.
chronic pain sucks!

meditate, paint, read, find a hobby, join a support group!
take one day at a time.

take pain meds on bad pain days.
it's just life!!!
we learn to deal.
i'm not saying it's easy.

but life isn't fair, but we have to live and attitude is everything.

that girl on tv, well, she's rare or not real, and she could cut herself and die and not feel it.

i'd rather feel, and live with pain.

bless you, i wish you well!

i love my heating pad! it really helps the aches!

I am watching the same show I think (Strong Medicine?) I have actually heard of this before, but have to wonder the same thing. So many people live with cronic pain, then you see the few who can't feel anything at all.

When you have a kid....it's pretty much just a spin of the wheel. So many things can go wrong with people it is kind of amazing we are still alive and most people are relatively healthy. It's kind of cool when you really think about it.

You say it like she's lucky. She's not. Pain- as strange as it sounds- is meant to be a good thing. It's there to let you know where something is not right. Someone who can't feel any pain is disabled as well, and they can have many problems from it. Don't envy them.
