I dont think it is illegal but at worst you would get charged with indecent exposure.I certainly would'nt complain.

There are great nude beaches in all parts of the world, and topless is generally accepted in many other places. I'm not from Australia (I live on Long island, NY) but I love the nude beach and go as frequently as I can during the summer.

Check out the International Naturists Association website...they have a section called "Places to get Naked" or something similar, which describes nude and topless beaches all over the world. You can also go to a site called "Topfree" (or www.topfreedom.com) and, when you get there, go to "What's New" and then click on the "here" link. That will take you to a collection of message boards/forums that dwal with places to be topless all over the world. Lots of great experiences and some people even post their photos, so you know who's posting.

Good luck, and don't worry about the helicopters...the guys inside were probably just appreciating your bare boobs!

There are designated nude beaches in Australia and quite a few undesignated ones. Most beaches will allow women to be topless if you use a little discretion. There are legal topless areas on beaches such as Bondi and Manly. Take your cue from the locals. Topless is really no big deal but full nudity on anyone over 5 years old at Bondi would be frowned upon.

The nude beaches are well known and advertised.

I would probably prefer a topless beach - although I've never been to a totally nude beach. I think I would be uncomfortable with the pressure to go nude myself. As a guy, I go "topless" all the time, so it's just a lot of fun to see beautiful women going around "top free". I have been to a couple of topless beaches - on tours. They had all kinds of folks there - young, middle age, old, thin, not - so - thin - basically something for everybody. I'll have to say the second one was a real disappointment because all of the girls were wearing their tops.

I think it is legal, went to Bondi Beach and saw a lady go topless and was told it's ok.
