Let's say there's proof that Heaven and Hell exist according to the Bible. Now let's say you have a choice to go to Heaven, but you see that gays are being sent to Hell just for basically loving each other. Would you go to Hell for the sake of empathy or continue following God and go to Heaven?

I'm not Christian by the way.

I would go to Heaven. Hell is a place of solitude. Me going would not ease their pain or suffering. We could not commiserate the injustice of things together. That being said, I don't think that universally all gay people will go to hell. Sexual immorality is a sin. Sin can be forgiven, even sin you don't know you are doing. Yes we are to repent of sin, and ask for forgiveness, but all of us have something we have done that we justify. So, I believe that if a homosexual is a Christian they will be in heaven with me. I don't think it is a one or the other kind of thing.

Joshua I told you I would be on your butt like white on rice if you kept spouting out your trash about Atheists on the R&S page. You don't have the intellect to challenge me boy. You had better go try your thing with the sun you will have a better chance than with me. What are you a closet Christian First time I have met one. The other Christians must be proud. You still stay locked in your cocoon of ignorance thinking you can scare an Atheists with your Fantasy boogie man Satan. What are you going to do have him jump up and take a bite of my butt. Why don't you just pull the drawers out of the crack of your butt and calmly go set by the door. We'll send someone for you. God Bless love and Kisses.

I'm hoping that maybe there's a place somewhere in the middle of the two!! But gays going to hell wouldn't make any differance to where I went. If all the really "good" people go to heaven it could be a pretty boring place

Why does this question have to be for atheists? Do you think that a compassionate xtian would not do the same? There ARE some of them who actually like gay people.

Anyhow, the answer to your question is "C" - picket the gates of heaven until god opens his mind and realizes that a man can love a man and a woman can love a woman without causing anyone any physical or moral harm.

Emapthizing with a homosexual and destining yourself to eternal fire? Sorry, don't think that level of empathy exists in any human being. I am also not a christian, nor a homosexual. What you're basically asking is whether or not people accept gays for what they are, and, if so, are you willing to prove it by burning for eternity. No. Not a chance in "hell". Ha!

In my opinion, this hypothesis is incorrect. This is hell! This world or planet earth or this whole universe is hell. Heaven if there is any it's gonna be later. Cuz' if there is a god he's gonna let us in regardless. Well don't u love ur creations no matter how ugly they are to u or to ur critiques!

I wouldn't go to hell because of empathy for the gays but I may refuse to go to heaven for other reasons.

Why would anyone choose to go to hell? For ANY reason! Even if your whole family were there why would you want to endure an eternity of suffering. On the other hand, I dont want to go to heaven either, what kind of deal is that? Who honestly wants to live forever? Not me!

Considering how bigoted, evil, one-sided, narcissistic, etc. the Christian god is depicted as, I would choose to go to hell simply so I don't have to deal with someone who tries to hide the fact that he's a sadist who derives pleasure from inflicting pain on others.

At least Satan is out of the closet (no pun intended) as far as sadism goes...he's not trying to hide his intent.
