Since we have Free Will, like GOD states there is neither right nor wrong until the day of Judgement.

That would depend on the person. There is no yes or no answer. If your family was in serious trouble and someone had information to save them but wouldn't tell you, would you consider torture to get the information? I know there will be people who say under no circumstance would torture be okay. It happens, and the people that torture others can justify their reasons for doing so. So, in answer to your question, it depends on the person you are talking to.

I personally think it's okay, sometimes. If some piece of crap person has tortured and killed little kids - torture him for a LONG time, just drag it out. It's too merciful to swab them with antiseptic and then stick a dang needle in their arm.

I also think that torture should be okay sometimes in war. Well, maybe not okay, but I don't blame those soldiers who just go off because they are getting shot at by people pretending to be their allies, or people raping women in the streets.

hmm is torture right or wrong?
does it matter? it sure is a lot of fun...
just kidding. i dont believe in 'torture' but i do believe in persuasion. it depends i suppose, at what level you consider torture.
sort of like, some parents believe a spanking is completely acceptable, whereas some parents believe any sort of contact with a child that causes pain is abuse.
for example, i consider torture something you would see in a saw movie. something from Hostel or the like. many people have a much lower requirement of torture to consider it torture, such as slapping someone, who is bound, across the face.
i personally dont consider it torture until it becomes obscene. any sort of cutting into the skin, and any physical blows that cause excessive brusing or broken bones. until that point, its just...persuasion, lol.

If you think that the argument, YOU CAN'T TORTURE ME, IT'S WRONG! is ever going to save you in the real world, than you are a dreamer. It happens, it has happened, and it will always happen. It all depends how much people want information, or how determined they are to get it. Right or wrong never enters the equation.

It all depends on how bad you need information. If my child was kidnapped and the kidnapper didnt want to tell me where my child was, I would torture that person untill they told me everything I needed to know. Torturing people to get information in an act of war is wrong because those people are only doing the job their government is making them do.

i beleave its wrong always you do on to other as you would want done on to you. but people do it because it is in human nature to want to see someone harmed if they were harmd. just like the death penaty the actual injection might not be torture but to know you were going to be killed and at a certian time and have no control, is torture. but the family of a man who was killed would not have problem with the murderer being put to death thy consider it justice but it torture and its wrong humans have been doing this forever hang people in crowds and stuff

Is torture wrong? Of course it is! Everyone knows that. The question is, "When is it acceptable?" My answer is when your enemy uses tactics that you won't use, sometimes this makes him strong and you weak, and sometimes the opposite, and sometimes both. But when your enemy uses tactics like torture, he must be prepared to have you drop to not only his level but below. Because our government/forces use torture, WE must be prepared. Because we do not string them up for using torture, we deserve the retaliation we have gotten, and that we will get.

I don't think you should use the US administrations position in this case. Torture is not OK.

Joke:

Stalin calls his deputy in and says "Someone has stolen my pipe! I want it found right away." The deputy goes out and comes back several hours later. Stalin says, "I found my pipe." The deputy says, "But two people have already confessed?"

100% wrong. If anyone thinks that torture is good I must say they are not human. I mean who likes pain and being hurt? Exactly no one. let me ask you, is being sick right or wrong?
