Does anyone ever talk to an ex-boyfriend from over a year ago and what is the reason behind this action?

As for the ones that ended in an ugly manner, I usually dont talk to them again, they are just trying to beg back or get revenge. They are not worth the time or the hassle. There is only one that I do talk with that we are just platinum friends but then again its probably because it ended in a nice and mutual way and that we never had sex. The few others that I do still talk to is because I keep them as backup for the future. I remain friends but am hopeful that they will mature up. We broke up because they needed to grow up not for anything bad. But the most important question is, can you remain just friends with them? If you can, then go ahead and keep in touch. However, I recommend to keep personal and intimate details to yourself. Hope this helps.

i talked to my ex after about 2 years..time really heal the pain but not the wound. sometimes it does bring you bad memories...

I talk to several of my ex's. We just realized that we're better off being friends instead of in a relationship. There are no bad memories or hard feelings. They actually are better friends than better men for me.

yeah. a lot of my exes and i are still good friends, actually. i guess we all kind of got over it well enough to keep going and still talk.

sometimes i am reminded of past things, but i just laugh (or grimace) and keep it in the back of my brain and don't bring things up usually.

there's a few exes i don't talk to anymore, but that's mostly because they were scary experiences, or i just actually don't ever run into them again.

I still talk to my ex-husband because even though we weren't suited as partners we are still friends. It doesn't have to be relationship or nothing.
