Sorry but they are not. They may look like it but they lack many human traits, and they also lack the complex brains of the smart mammals: elephants, dolphins/whales, and the great apes in something like that order. They would never know to grieve over the loss of a parent, feel emotional pain, or anything like that. Even chimpanzees, our closest relatives, seem to forget even the deaths of family members very quickly.

No they aren't , each bundle of fur contains a bald meerkat.

Wikipedia says they are from the mongoose family. However, i didnt look up mongoose.
