Not the same faith, but yes, most people do:O That is how 3/4 of religious people get their religion, directly from their parents.

If I was born into a different religion - would I defend the religion that I was?
If I were born into a different culture would I defend the religion I was?

Umm, How would I remember being a faith I am not aware of? of a culture I am not aware I was from?

If I remember a faith and find I am part of a culture and family of different faith, then I would be alone in my memories, and would think I am crazy? Because my family and culture are reality, and my memories are of a different reality, thereby false, if my family and community doctors says they are false.
My faith is connected to my community and family, and to who I am through these people. If all this were different then my ability to defend a different religion would depend on the communities and cultures tolerance of others, and my own tolerance of differences in others.
I am American - if on Friday I wake up German in Germany, and a different faith - but my family and community is still in America - I will be lost mentally lost.
If my family and community are also changed when I change then how will I know? We will all be Germans.
I already defend other faiths, and cultures, but I retain mine.
If I was born into culture A that hated another culture B, and expressed this at every level of the community, then I would ONLY be able to hate this culture B, as no one would have an opinion thinking otherwise.
If outside education were available and a love grew for this culture B; I may join this growth of love for the culture B - if my family gave some sign of approval.
Is this what you asked?

Yes, I would and I have. I didn't grow up with the islamic faith, but I still defend my faith with the same passion. Thos who know me say I defend it with even more passion than those born into it. I love it so much. I love the fact that religiously, a man is supposed to be strong and care for his family. I love it that if he doesn't do his duty, the wife doesn't have to listen to a single word he says. I also like that if they argue, and he doesn't want her around, it's HIM who must leave the home. He is not allowed to kick her onto the street. That's one part of it along with the thousands of others.

Sure people would defend their faith with the same passion. The only thing that would change is what they have faith in.

That's a loaded question....
There are some 100 million people out there who are scared to enter a church of their faith for fear of being tortured or killed in other cultures or regions of the world. So, if you say no, you're a hypocrite. If you say yes, you're an extremist.

i would think so. for God will always find us and we will find truth no matter what. there are many people out there who grew up with no knowledge at all and still found God and believed God created everything.

we all have faith in something. rather it is in God or in evolution you still have faith. and we all defend our faith no matter what. some more then others. and some even give things up for there faith. like some christians give up video games or tv.

That is the best question I have seen in here.It should really make people realize how pointless and dangerous religious extremism is.Most people dislike, and feel that people of other religions are damned to hell. They think theirs is the only true religion.Thinking about it this way,you have to realize it doesn't matter what religion you are. It's insane to fight over who is saved and who is damned. No one knows for sure which is right. We all have to live together in peace.Good question.

God put us where we live and we are to be His witnesses there with the power of the Holy Spirit operating in us (Acts 1:8). However we are to live out our faith to please God and not men. Some will be tested for their faith by enduring death but God will certainly provide them with His grace to come through with dignity and courage. So be of good cheer whatever God expects you to do for Him He will give you the grace to overcome.

You defend whatever you believe in no matter where you are from, or what you believe in. This question makes no sense.
