Left hand, ring finger (the one next to your pinky). (In some countries, notably European ones, wedding bands are worn on the right hand.)
When you're not wearing it, in its jewelry box and in a safe.
When you get married, you wear the wedding band on the same finger, but put the wedding band on first, because it's closer to your heart.

The engagement ring is placed on the left hand "ring" finger or the one next to your pinky finger. It remains closest to your heart until the marriage at which time the wedding band is placed at the base of that same finger (closest to your heart) and the engagement ring is directly above it on the same finger.

Bambi's answer is correct, and the reason being is that finger is the only one that has a direct blood link to your heart, engagement ring there, till you receive your wedding ring, then wedding ring 1st, engagement ring next

My mother taught me to wear the wedding band first then the engagement ring together on my left ring finger.
I like it that way not because she told me to do so, but it allows me to see both rings from my view, as the engagement ring doesn't hide the wedding ring.

Right ring finger, the left is saved for the wedding band which once married, the engagement ring can be included on the left ring finger along with the wedding band.

depends when, on its own on ur left hand, ring finger, on your wedding day put it on your right hand same finger until the day after then wear both together, i suggest putting the engagement first followed by ur wedding band

its a matter of preference... my wife wears hers first...then the wedding ring... she says that the order she got them... i think its because the first ring is slightly larger (she wasn't there when I bought it... had another ring to guess with) ... its just how you want to wear it .. I think!
