What does a guy mean when he says "I've been thinking about you."?

I went out w/ this guy a few times... we haven't talked in months... then all of a sudden he calls my phone (leaves a message) saying that he 's been thinking about me... blah..blah..lets go for a drink and catch up...blah blah...

What does that mean? does it mean he wants to date me again or what?

see this can mean two things.....
that probably loosing contact must be reminding him about you and might be interested in you ...as you realise that you love someone only if that someone is not in contact
or might be he is simply flirting or wanting you to think about him and sort of remind you of your last meets....and is simply not a reliable guy....ask yourself to feel which of the two cases suit him....

Yes, he has regained interest in you, I think. If you think he's alright, you should take him up on the offer. Be aware that it could be just physical attraction and he wants to see your body or something...stay away from that, no matter how flattered you might feel. In fact, it does sound like he just wants to fool around, nothing serious. Don't go out with him just yet. Play hard-to-get and if he is still chasing you, but is NOT being aggressive or possessive, then it might be safe. Good luck! ;)

What it means is that he decided the first time you guys went out that he wasn't that interested, dated for a few months, had no takers, and decided to call you back hoping you're still available and wants to get laid. Tell him that you're flattered that he was thinking of you, ask him why he hasn't called and then either bid him adieu or let him take you to dinner.

What it sounds like is that your being used as a rebound.
I went out with a guy a few times and didn't talk to him for about 2 months and then one random afternoon he calls and says things about how he misses me and how we should get together sometime and how he has been thinking about me. So we went out and it was a total mess, he barely even remembered my name. He was just dumped, go figure.
I don't think he wants to date you, if he was really thinking about you he would have called a few days later, a week at the most. Return his calls and see what he has to say. If he sounds desperate, avoid. Say you have plans.

He's paying, so feel free to go on dates. Don't let it lead to any hoo-haa and see if he's still thinking about you. If he's trying to sleep with you on that date, then we can figure out what he means. Hopefully his calls aren't late night calls. Those indicate physical "thoughts".

Whether he wants to be with you or just wanna get in your pants, I'm not so sure about it. But, I believe you know it better. well it depends on his personality and what not. well if it is a bad personality he want's to GET SOME! but if it is a good personlity he his proply thinking about the old times.
