well, god is a being that everyone invents themselves. i guarentee you that every single human has a different concept of god. so he or she is what you make it or them. praying is just for confort n e way.

suggest a good read for you might be 'johnathan livingstone seagull'... he follows that concept pretty good, actually, and causes people to really think.
for myself, I can say, that, yes, you are god, as I am god. I don't mean the one and only just a part of it/him/her.
I do not believe in a muslim, buddhist, or christian heaven or equivalent, I believe that we are in a school and when our lessons are learned, probably meaning more than one life, we shall return and become a part of all that is god.
there was a reason, and not vanity, that mankind is. all considered, though, he'd {men} better soon find out what that reason is and grow above the killing animal that he now is.

hinduism. hmmm, yes indeed. read there also. a suggestion only, I also believe that we come here with a purpose, to learn from the life that we have chosen, not from something that someone else chose for you, and no, I don't mean god.

Christ's sacrifice made us "adopted sons and daughters of God." When a person is baptised he receives the Holy Spirit which gives him a divine nature. So, in a sense you are right. God wants us to be god so that we can become partakers of his divinity.
Have a blessed and peaceful day

I believe you are in a way. I believe we and everything that has ever lived are God, and that we usually remerge when we die. So there's no need to pray, the wisdom is within you.

That depends on your religion and how you want to define God ;-)

'You' *are* the very essence of the universe ('you' in quotes because the 'you' you experience is an illusion).

If done correctly, prayer rectifies your mind toward this 'Godliness' or 'essence'.

I don't believe in any sort of God. I guess you're just praying to thin air.

Sorry, but No, you are NOT God.
You are flesh and God is spiritual.
We can treat ourselves like we are our own God,

Asking me? You are a piece of God. A cell on your body can not say- I am the complete essence of you, but it can claim to be a piece of you.

Is a single drop from an ocean, not the ocean? You are as one single drop from the "ocean of love and mercy" (God). One day you will join the creator and merge and be one with It, as rejoining the ocean from whence you came.. At that point you "are God" as you are one and the same with It.
