well for starters church is useally for everyone and is to preach the Word of God. a meeting can be many things. useally is for certain people who the meeting is directed at. and to talk about whatever. and is a term used outside church as well. like if you have a meeting with your childs teacher it is useally to talk about how the child is doing.

Firstly, you need to define what you mean by "meeting". I presume you mean a Christian meeting?
Secondly, "going to church" is a phrase that is totally foreign to the NT. The NT have no such usage. Church is not a place to go to. It's a body of believers gathered.
So while going to a church meeting is pretty much consistent with NT ideas, going to church is not.

it is the purpose which defines the location. in the 'book' it states something like "where 2 or more, could be 3 or more gather in my name, there am I also."
there are many people in church who think they are in a meeting, and not pure or theological searching, just, among other things, to gossip.

at a meeting you normally at least get doughnuts and coffee out of it or some sort of snack, at church you get nothing except maybe a stale cracker and a thimble of spoiled grape juice once a month or so.
