a 7 year old girl with what doctors a is a small head. I be leave it is 44 cm. She looks fine I mean her head fits the size of her body. she did all of her mild stones on time. So what could be the issue with this?

she is in a special needs class. But to look at her she looks fine.

Small head = Microcephaly
There are many causes but in this case, it seems to be just 'constitutional' as someone already mentioned.
Usually, the other reasons are infections (maternal history of Syphilis, CMV, Toxoplasmosis, Rubella, Herpes etc...).
And yes, lack of nutrition is a very common cause as well.

Ok dude microcephaly or small head could lead to a number of problems but .... if u say she completed all her milestones in time.... it could be nothing at all it's just consitituional microcephaly .... they just have a small head for no reason and sometimes it just gets better over time....but u have to watch them for psychological disturbances

Could be an underveloped brain. According to recent studies, the larger a child's head is at birth, the smarter the child will become.
