One is spiruitual and the other is man made.
Heaven's Gate was spiritually made. And, The Holy Bible made by man.
Heaven's Gate is referred in many religions. Almost all of them each ahs a different view point.
In other words there is definately a GOD, but religions Bibles are manmade.

Heaven's Gate as in the poisoned pudding cult who believed they were going to travel on the Hale-Bopp comet which inspired a CSI episode last season? No relation between the two at all.
From what little I read and heard, they had no Christian affiliations. They were New Agers, which is in direct opposition of Christianity. But who knows what all went on behind closed doors there that didn't make the news.

hi kaelani. Anamarada thinks you are talking about a cult but i notice that your word heaven's is not capitalized like a proper noun would be .so if you mean the gate to heaven then the only relationship would be that heaven has a gate and that is is mentioned in the bible. If you meant the cult heaven's gate which i think you do then Anamarada has it pretty well nailed. swindled

Heavens gate was a cult that belived that the asteroid in the sky was a space ship that would take them to a better world. The bible does not need you to kill yourself, and does not say that asteroids will take your soul anywhere.

About the same relationship as between Qur'an and Terrorism. Terrorists use the Qur'an as a reason for their ignorance and stupidity and as a way to control people even though there is absolutely no reason for it to. Heaven's Gate used the Bible as a means to control and force them to do stupid things.

Heaven's Gate don't have anything to do with Christianity. They were a New Age cult who believed that a UFO behind the Hale-Bopp comet was coming to pick them up,and they had to commit suicide in order not to miss it.

In Genesis 28:10-19 the patriarch Jacob had a dream from God where he saw a ladder extending to heaven with angels ascending and descending upon it.
In John's Gospel, when Jesus Christ called Nathanael to follow Him He said in effect that He Himself was this ladder extended between heaven and earth. (John 1:43-51)
Jesus stated this plainly when He later said: "I, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6)
In Paul's First Letter to Timothy we read this:
"For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and Man, the man Christ Jesus. Who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony being borne at the proper time." (I Timothy 2:5,6)
Jesus said: "Strive to enter by the narrow door; for many I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. Once the head of the house gets up and shuts the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock on the door, saying "Lord, open up to us!, then He will answer and say to you, "I do not know where you are from." (Luke 13:24,25)
Jesus said: "Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it." (Matthew 7:13,14)
So, "Ask, and it will be given you, seek and you will find, knock and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened." (Matthew 7:7,8)
"Behold, Now is the acceptable time, behold, Now is the day of salvation." (II Corinthians 6:2)
"For whoever will call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus) shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
Do it today!
Peace to you!

Consider the Bible, (what's in it) as a map. Now we need to follow what that map tells us.
