Anyone have any medical insight on the reason for (seemingly) linked chest pain and abdominal pain that's lasted for at least 3 days?

(By ab pain, I mean the muscles, not organs. If you can make sense of that...)

Haven't had any more exercise/muscle strain than usual, and no events that I can think of to start/cause the pain.

Chest pain can be frightening! Unfortunately, chest and abdominal pain can be related to a cardiovascular problem.

Was the pain onset related to physical activity? Have you been treated for cardiovascular disease or other cardiac abnormality in the past? Do you have a family history of cardiovascular disease?

Have a physician evaluate the pain! Do NOT wait any longer. As we say in the medical field: Time = muscle. The longer you wait, the more cardiac muscle is irreperably damaged (if the pain is due to an MI (heart attack)).

Like the others are guessing, it sounds like it could be muscle strain. This could be caused by sit ups or crunches, or even vomiting or coughing a lot.

My mother and sisters have something wrong with them that whenever they eat soy or a lot of sugar, their muscles hurt (I think it's actually a nervous problem that makes it feel like muscle aches). I think it's usually their legs, but it's sort of a food allergy. Honestly, it doesn't sound like this to me, but it's another option ... your pain is perplexing where there is no inciting incident. No cough?

Gas maybe. Possibly chest and stomach pains could be from anxiety. Anxiety attacks can feel like heart attacks. I've had them, and also had stomach pains along with the chest pain. If they bother you that much, I'd make an appt. w/a Dr.

muscle strain. if you are execising both abs and chest muscles to get them toned, you probably over did it and are having muscle spasms.
