painful teeth after fillings?

i've had four fillings on my teeth in the past 2 months. the first, which was the biggest, has caused no problems what so ever. but the other three continue to be very painful when eating. i cant' even eat something like a rice cracker without having to manouver the food around to dodge the teeth in question.
suddenly eating is unenjoyable, so i'm very peeved!
is this normal, will it fade, or have i gone to a dodgey dentist?

you must go back to the dentist after a week or even days after filling because there are so many reason why it is aching first the holes might be too large already and the fillings could no longer help generate dentin as the dentin covers the pulp, second there might be a leakage somewhere we dont know unless you will go back to the dentist, third the filling might too high in some part or parts of the surpace of the tooth ofcourse if its high you have premature contact meaning it contacts first before the other teeth does and when all the teeeth are in contact when you eat ofcourse the tooth who had higer fillings generate more force causing pain so i advise go back to the dentist, its not the fault of the dentist thinbgs happens like that just go back and the dentist will check whats wrong with it okay :)

You might want to at least call the dentist and ask if the pain should be hanging about. I sometimes use a tiny bit of oil of cloves on my gums when I have some dental pain, but I always make sure the dentist, or at least the person that answers the telephone at the dental office, knows that I have pain.

It is possible that you need a bite adjustment. This a simple procedure. You'll be in and out of the office.

This is common. The filing may be too "high".

Call your dentist and explain this situation. This visit should be free if it is just an adjustment.

It's normal.It happens to a lot of people.Get you some desensitizing tooth paste and keep using it for a week or so after the pain quits.

That happened to my daughter. It took several weeks for her pain to go away, but it did and she is fine.

But if it persists longer than 2 months I would advise you to see your dentist again.

if its only a rice cracker not cold or sweet you are having pressure pain, sounds like your toothis cracked, have your dentist look at it under microscope, or magnification, its usually cracked perhaps a crown is in order.

i've never had pain after a filling. i even go to an income-based clinic. i've had some pretty big holes filled , but ther is never any lingering pain. call your dentist.
