This is not the last generation. I have grandsons, and even their generation will not be the last. Our species adapts better than most, as history shows.
Having said that, each of us is responsible to *all* our grandkids: let's leave our environment better than we found it when we were born.
Let's get those twirly fluorescent lightbulbs. And let's insist that Boeing and all plane builders stop polluting our air.

Why is everyone so brainwashed by our government? Do you not realize how much money our government makes off of scaring people? The polar ice caps are not melting, they just move causing them to crumble. When scientist measure the temperature, they measure it near cities were there is heat and new buildings being built. If this is are last generation it would be under God's hands anyways. I would just hope you believe in God.

unless we are hit be something really shocking (say a really big comet) it is likely that some humans will survive into the future.
It is more likely if things go environmentally bad that those with weapons will start killing those without. Expect lots of nasty little wars. Generally when civilisations fail they do so rather quickly. Might take less than a few years for it all to turn nasty.
Imagine if a city ran out of water. Or electricity. would get ugly real fast.
We might all go back to living like we did 40,000 years ago though and most of us may die rather unpleasantly.

!!come on think !!
Does a glass full of ice water over flow as the ice melts.
They said the temp. May go up as mush as 5 degrees in 75 to 150 years.
Think use the mind you have and you can see the load of bull this is.
If the temp does go up you will have more evaporation so more rain less droughts.
Come on and think.

Ancient cultures and modern day prophets predict dire events in the near future. One prediction is that the earth will pass through a gravitational vortex around the year 2015 that will reverse the poles and draw the earth away from sun, thus reversing global warming and send the earth into another 10,000 year ice age.

Global warming is not the end of man.
It won't be a Hollywood style disaster. Gradually coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged. But it will be very bad. Rich countries will cope, but it will take huge amounts of money. In poor countries many people will die of starvation, but not all of them.
It's not the end of man. Just the worst disaster in human history, taking place in slow motion.
