Eternal being can never be considered old except as having known everything, and immaturity can be rightly called young, as can youthful vitality. So it is, as all defined things of time and space, a relative term.

Maturity is more useful a measure, if you are to dwell on measures, although itself assures a negligence to focus on what's still being developed and not yet evident.

This is why it is not profeitable to judge, even oneself, except to test the truth of who you are.

Im a 31 yr old man. Yes 22 is still young, but you are at a great but formative point in your life. Live life to its fullest, get some job experience and live on your own. If you are doing these things you're on your way. You are young enough to have the energy to go out and party all night, but should be responsible enough to get up and go to work/college during the day.

Heck Im 31 doing well, self sufficient, single and am still young!

Depends on who you ask. If the response comes from a 30 year4 old, 22 seems young. If the answer comes from a 40 year old...or older, 22 seems very, very young. I'm 70 so I would say 22 is barely out of the cradle.

Young in Age? Certainly. Young, in Strength? Sure. Young in Knowledge? You better believe it! Young in abilities? Not on your Life! Young in understanding Women? Son! You'll never be old. If you think, understanding women, makes you elderly. I'm 52 and I still don't know what the Heck they're doing!

yup 22 is still considered a young man in my book, but that could change if you act and think immature, then you will be a young boy.

of course!!! i'm going to be 22 in 2 months... for anyone two years or more younger than you, they'll think/say you're old (teasingly or if you are older than them--hence "old"). anyone older than you will say you're young, so since you haven't even reached 30, you're still in the "young and safe" region :)

btw, old people may LOOK old but still be young at HEART... looks doesn't matter in the long run :D

Absolutely. As time goes on and people are living longer, 22 years old will seem younger and younger compared to average lifespan.

Also, you are as young as you feel. I am 36 years old and I do not think I am old. If I am not old, you most definately are not in the geezer department yet.

Of course. I'd still call somebody a young man or woman until they were in their 30's...
