Hello fellow Central Valley Californian! I'm from Atwater. Okay, to answer your question I'll be honest with you every church that says that they won't judge is probably full of themselves. I mean they say they're not going to judge you and then once you start going to church it'll be the complete opposite. I had this same thing happen to me when I became Mormon and everyone was telling me that they weren't going to judge me for me past, but every Sunday all eyes were on me with staring and whispers. People I thought I could trust betrayed me and I felt so uncomfortable every Sunday I returned. I say as long as you believe in Christ that should be the only thing that matters.

Doesn`t matter about what " Church " will accept you and not judge you !! What matters is GOD will not accept you ; He certainly will judge you ! It has nothing to do with man or a Church judging or accepting you !! ** Jude 1 : 17 - 19 .. But , beloved , remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ .. How that they told you that there should be mockers in the last time , who should walk after their own ungodly lust .. These be they who seperate themselves , sensual , having not the Spirit **!! You say you won`t change ? I can promise you GOD will not change and GOD says` your lifestyle is a sin , so why do you want to go to Church ? What is the purpose ? The judgement is God`s , not us here on earth .

I don't want to deter you from going to church if you have a yearning to go, then go, don't let what someone else might feel about you keep you from going. I personally believe that any church will accept you if they are truly Christians.

Yes, the Bible does teach that homosexuality is a sin, but it also says that God hates the sin and not the sinner and true christians will accept you into their church regardless. If you are looking for a church that says homosexuality is okay then I don't know, but I'm sure they are out there. But again I say that if your yearning is that strong you should go and don't be self conscious, there is obviously something there for you.

If you're Buddhist, why not consider joining a Buddhist group? From an experience my good friend had in my area, I think Catholics are still fairly judgemental.

I really think it depends on the particular congregation, area you live in, pastor, etc.. Try different churches. It may take a few weeks, months or years of Sundays to see how well you fit in and most importantly, How much YOU enjoy it! :)

Good Luck Hon...

Brother, You don't need to find a Church that would accept you for who you are. Your Body is the His temple. A church is just a empty buidling that people come to every now and then. What really matters is God and You.

Why wouldn't you be able to go back to your own church do you wear a sign that says you are gay. I also don't think you will be mistreated at a catholic church for being gay. They are hurting for members now a days with all the scandal. But is you are Buddhist now isn't there somewhere near you were the Buddhist worship? try goggle searching for Buddhist temples. Plus there now one would know you and you could start fresh with people who know the you, you are now. Good Luck.

Just go and believe that god will accept you for who you are and that he knows you are a good person. You don't have to believe what others do. I am catholic and I do not believe everything that catholics believe in. I think of god as a truly great and kind being and that he would know exactly how to judge a person, By looking at their heart, not the stupid things that people judge eachother by in this world.

God doenst condemn anyone, whatever your color, nationality and gender you have. Even your the most worst person in whole wide world. Even if your the ugliest.... even if your a gay. He loves all of us. But, remember its your choice to feel and act that way, dont make that feeling as an excuse to make a sin..... having a crush on a guy and upon you control. But I hope your not into a relationship to a man.
But God is ready to forgive you, as long as you are sincere to your prayers. Seventh-day Adventist people are freindly people. Dont expect them as perfect they can commit mistakes also, they are some that will make comments about you...but the true servant of God will accept you whoever you are. You are free to enter the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. They are ready to help you.
More Power to you.
God Bless.
