i called to make him feel better and he was cold and distant like he was doing me a favor talking to me. it was obvious he was trying to get me off the phone right away and i didn't even have the intention of talking much to him just saying g/n. why was he like that, ideas?

I have been with a guy who has done the same thing repeatedly. He was never with another person. I don't fully understand, but some people hate talking on the phone, especially when they think they have something else more important to do. My guy pushed me off the phone, so he could finish an email to his motorcycle group. I thought it was rude and it was more important to talk with me. But everyone is so different in how they handle things. If I were you, I would just bring it up next time you see him and ask him to explain why he does that...maybe you can figure him out or get to the bottom of it (if there is an it to get to). I wouldn't sweat it...maybe he was just too tired to talk. It happens sometimes, I just hope not all the time.

maybe he was on the toilet. not everybody can just stop what they are doing on a moments notice and give you all the atttention you want. people have lives to live and duties to perform. maybe he was getting a traffic ticket. maybe he was in bed with another girl. it could be anything and it is his right to decide who he wants to talk to and when.
these cell phones are going to drive ebryone nuts. it used to be if you called a person it was at his home and if he was not in you did not get an answer. Then you called later and hoped to get him. That worked well for many years and nobody stressed out over it.
Before that you had to send a telegram and it better be important and before that you wrote a letter or you rode your horse or "shanks horses" (walked) over to his house to see if he was home. If not you were out of luck and left a note on the door or waited. If he was home you went in and he gave you a cup of coffee and you talked unless he was out back plowing the fields or whatever. Then you talked while you helped him with the chores and stayed for dinner because it was dark and too late to go home. That was a good world. The Amish got it right.

Don't jump to conclusions. You said you called to make him feel better. Maybe he was just medicated and needed to go to sleep. Next time you're together ask him about it, or just blow it off and if it doesn't happen again, that was probably the case.

He felt like you were talking to him so that you could feel satisfied by making him feel better. You have to genuinly show that you are there for him and if he doesnt want to talk, dont push it because you want to make him feel better. Then, who knows? he might be comfortable eenough to open up.

maybe u talk to damn much or maybe he just was feeling bad and wanted to rest and seems like u have unresolved issues that u r just hiding in the him rushing u issue

Maybe he had another girl right beside him. That's probably why he couldn't talk to you. He probably didn't want her to hear your voice over the phone.
