The high point 9mm carbine earned a best buy rating from Gun Tests Magazine, a magazine which accepts no advertising, and thus can tell the truth about guns they evaluate without fear of manufacturers getting upset about a bad rating and pulling out their ad's. A Consumer Best-Buy rating from them is the highest compliment a gun can hope to get.
The pistols are inexpensive and functional, but not highly accurate or refined by any means. They are generally nickel or chrome plated, and because the sights are integral to the slide, they get plated as well, making them difficult to see.
Do you carry Rossi, Charter Arms, or Taurus handguns? They are much better quality, for far less money than Smith & Wesson, Colt, or Glock.

They're only considered ugly today because they missed that time about ten to fifteen years back when ugly was the fad. That doesn't make them any less of a fine weapon, though.
They're great guns and they're guaranteed for life.
Every review on them you'll ever find was totally positive....it's hard to find anything negative to say about them.
They have a scifi look going that doesn't appeal to me, though. I more prefer a break top Webley.

I have a HI-Point 45acp and its very accurate out to i'd 30yrds or so and it has never jammed on me and ive tried to get it to jam but it will dump em out as fast as you can pull the trigger, and for the money you cant go wrong , I keep mine in my truck for emergencies with no worry of it being stolen while all my other firearms are locked in a safe

Ugly, clunky but reliable. If you don't care how your gun looks than its good value for the money. I have a Hi Point carbine that is just plain ugly, but it's never jammed and it's as accurate as any other 9mm carbine I've ever shot.

I own a Hi Point .45, I love it. I only paid $119.00 for it, yes its ugly, but for that kind of money what can you expect.
It has never jammed, its fairly accurate, I don't think its possible to get a better gun for the money.

If I remeber correctly, they are a low cost gun maker from Ohio. Never shot a hi point though. So I cant say how the quality is.

-Cheap
-Accurate
-LIFETIME GUARANTEE
-MADE In the U*S*A !!!
However.....they are VERY HARD TO GET. Distributors are the only ones who sell them (you cannot got direct to the manufacturer). We have been trying to get some to sell in our store for months. No luck. The distibutors give them to their biggest accounts and screw everyone else.
