I would say no. Someone told me they were putting a "Navajo Insanity Spell" on me, and I doubt such a thing exists.

If you have Jesus, you don't have to fear curses. I get people telling me I'm being hexed from time to time, and probably many people who don't tell me take a crack at it too. I'm still here!

Here's a past answer I gave someone who thought a self proclaimed witch was giving them headaches:

"Sometimes it is the BELIEF in curses and hexes that makes them seem to "work". Your belief in the hex may cause you to have a psychosomatic illness in the form of headaches. Once you realize this, you may find your headaches will go away.

It could also be a coincidence, and your headaches could be an indication of something more serious, but I think it could be the former. Sometimes an occultist will take advantage of a situation, and claim to be the cause of someone's misfortune. Example: someone dies, the occultist will claim they had put a hex on the person and caused it, even though they never did. People will believe it though, and fear the occultist has some kind of power. It's possible your nemesis overheard you mention you had a headache, and then they decided to take credit for it. Some occultists call this "glamor" or "lesser black magic". What it really is, is just plain lying.

It's rare that anyone who claims to be in the occult can actually produce results. A Christian who has Jesus has nothing to fear from spells and hexes. I occasionally get an email from someone who says they've hexed me and I'm going to go insane or die, etc, but they never succeed. "

Yes, there are certainly Wiccans on the "Left Hand Path" who work the blackest of magicks. But they are VERY rare. Most people "into Wicca" are harmless fluffies who talk a great game, but can't back it up.

Wicca isn't a game, and The Good Witch's Bible for instance does come with a disclaimer that the authors are not responsible for what happens to the user, even including spirit possession, (and possibly insanity I suppose). That's one reason I reccomend it so much.

Many people may seek medical advice from outside the medical examination room be it women asking women in the restroom or blokes asking a medic in the bar - which as a former combat medic that does happen & like some others have indicated there are suitably qualified peoples out there / here on YA to be able to answer a reasonable question which will often include advice to seek medical attention. For example Silly Girl is an ER Dr & myself a former Combat Medical with years of emergency experience before that & post that Qualified EMT as well - Other qualifications lengthily listed so we are capable of appropriately answering questions where people may otherwise become more unwell through not acting on current condition &/ or doing the wrong self help treatment. Psychiatric help as indicated by another is often a plea for help for other 'normal' peoples advice which helps confirm things for them sometimes perhaps even before seeking further assistance...Who knows you may even seek an opinion yourself one day & be grateful that one of the many users of this service may be able to assist you a little...

Anyone can put anyone in a Mental hospital, but as for putting themselves in one. They have a high chance.
A lot of Wiccan spells, magic, rituals and so forth require "imagination" and there is a fine line between "imagination" and "insanity".
If you are referring to the ability for them to use supernatural powers to send someone to a mental hospital, I highly doubt it.
Though I cant say its not possible, but a Wiccan... no offense but a lot of people start as Wiccans, and then advance on.

No dear. Most Wiccians would not put a bad or evil spell on anyone. Most don't even subscribe to the idea of love spells let alone "curses". That would go against someone's will and believe it or not, Wicca is NOT about that. Some also believe in the rule of three and karama. If you put out something harmful, in this case a harmful spell or ritual, you will get it back. Who would want that?

If someone goes to a mental hospital, it's either because they have mental problems or have shown disturbing behavior that is harmful to themselves or others. No magic voodoo at all.

If you're talking about the way innocent peole go to jail. Yeah. If you're talking about the Wiccan using magick to drive a sane peron insane. No 1 we don't have that kind of power 2 we use our power to help and heal NOT harm "Do as ye will an Harm none this be the whole of the law". We are not demons we are people just like everybody else. We have just learned to work with the energies in nature.

Wiccans are sworn not to harm others. If someone were to curse a person, they are not Wiccan.
