I see lots of people asking for creative ways to announce the pregnancy to the father or the grandparents or someone, and sometimes I'll read the suggestions that they get and think, Wow, that's a dumb idea.

I was just wondering, did anybody come up with something that they thought was a really great idea, and then it backfired? Like, the father didn't understand what you were trying to say or something?

I'm not pregnant now, and I'm not looking for ideas for myself. I didn't even do anything interesting, I just let the dad watch and see if the line showed up on the test, but I was just curious about others experiences.

my cousin never decussed kids with her man and found out she was pregnant. so she thought that since they were doin good, he would be happy and all that. so she arranged a get together with everyone and had them hide while she asked her man what he thought about kids. the cue for everyone to come out was, 'well it's a boy!' (even though she really didn't know but it doesn't sound fun when you shout, 'it's a baby.'

anyways so she asked him, 'what do you think about kids?'
and he said, 'well i can't have them because i got a visecomy last year.'

turns out it was her ex boyfriends after a hush hush night and he was there!

Well, I was a late bloomer with my pregnancy. I am the youngest of 6 kids and my parents already had 11 grandkids. It was my birthday and we gave my parents a card. All it said was "Thank you" and we wrote on the inside..."For understanding you are going to be grandparents again". My parents were happy, they thought I was broken, lol. It may be considered lame by some. But, it was fitting for my situation. I was 30 years old when I became pregnant. 11 years of marriage later and we are still one big happy family!!!

My husband was at work and I sent him a ballon that said "Your going to be a daddy." and had a pacifer attached to the ballon with a coffee cup to symbolize those late nights lol.

Thankfully it didn't back fire and he got a lot of congrats. I also sent the same things to my bro and my sis in law. My mom was the one that paid for those...*she went ubber nuts over the 1st grandchild thing @_@)
