I am a christian.
I was raised as a christian. But dont get me wrong i have studied other religons. I find that the teachings of christianity are more logical to me then any others. What really changed my beliefs and become a true christian was when my father lost his Job and for three years my family was able to pay the house payment without an income. Every month the money came and we were perfectly all right.
may God bless you and everyone you love!

My brother died when we were 25. I knew there was a God and I was not wanting to stand before Him with the way I was living my life. My other brother helped me understand what being a Christian meant. That I didn't have to change who I was. But to give Jesus permission to change anything in my life that He wanted me to. So everyday I prayed this and read my Bible and went to a non denomination church. Before long I noticed that God had changed my heart and I no longer wanted to do drugs, sleep around etc. The last 20 years has been wonderful. I've been on both sides of the fence and studied all religions. And what if I'm wrong? Well, my life has still been wonderful since I accepted Christ. But what if the Bible is right and Jesus is the only way?? Please consider that and where that will leave you. I hope this helps and I hope no one thinks I'm criticising their beliefs.

I do not believe there is a right or wrong answer, I was raised in a Catholic environment, and would even have plenty of arguments over what our religion teachers would try and teach us. I have spent a lot of time trying to understand the other philosophies that are out in the world. I think I identify mostly w/ some of the beliefs behind Hinduism b/c of the views of the natural world etc and harmony etc.
But to put it on the line, I do not really prescribe to any real documented belief system I believe we are on this planet for a very short time, and we are not here to serve the needs of any one, that we need to get the most outta the time we do have here.
If that makes me an infidel, or unholy bas**rd then so be it.

I'm a muslim. I'm from a mixed background ethnically and religiously and was not told that from birth i had to be a particualr religion. i was raised with an awareness of my muslim and non-muslim background and was educated in all different belief systems. To me being a muslim isn't about all the cultural influences that often get mixed up in Islam today. It isn't about being Arab or from the middle east and it definately isn't about the hijab....look at my answers regarding the hijab from the past and you'll understand my veiw point.
to me the crucial point of Islam is a submission and love of God, the whole God. therefore you can technically be a muslim and not even know it if you believe in God....because really no one follows the Qur'an perfectly anyway because no one is perfect. But the Qur'an is an important part of the religion and i believe that it is the final installment from God...although i don't believe in hadith and sunnah. I'm not into Mohammed worshipping or trying to emulate the life of the prophet and his wives...because after all he was no more than a human himself who often made mistake and had to be punished by God on occasion.
but i have no problem with athiests either because really, whatever floats your boat. I also like Islam because like judaism enry into paradise is focused on what sort of person you are and less on waht religion you belong to...also, like judaism, hell is not a permanent place either, there is no "you're damned for all enternity if don't follow [a particular] religion", everyone gets to heaven eventually.
But at the end of the day God is the centre of my beliefs...not cultural interpretation and dogma of any group.

When I was eight years old, it became apparent that the biblical tales could not be reconciled with scientific data, and since the science was obviously right (it works!), the bible had to go. Having encountered no evidence in the (entirely too many) decades since to support any notion of the existence of god, I remain an atheist. It can be shown that in the absence of any proof of either the existence or non-existence of god, belief either way can have no consequences in the real world, and it is simpler to believe the negative.

Well firstly I do not respect lies. I have been lied to all my life by preachers, telling me that all I have to do is believe that Jesus died on the cross and I am saved.
A few yrs back I met a gentlemn. I questioned him about God and every question that I asked him he opend the book on me and gave me the answer according to the word of God. I always believe in God I just never read his word. Now I do not celebrate mans holidays, I do what the book says to do because my life depends on it. I now have the fear of God in me and I now understand what he wants me to do. Before I came into the knowledge of the truth. I believed what every other christian believed, I now no who I am when before I did not, I have answrs now an before I did not know. Liike, what would happen after death and was Jesus born on the 25th of december. I can go on and on and on. I thank God that he has given me ears to hear and eyes to see. I am very fortunate. There are ppl that you can show this thing to and they will never believe because there minds wont let them, they are deceived. I am an Israelite. Everything that I believe in I can read out of the bible. I cannot find anywhere in there where it says Jesus was born on the 25th day of dec or to go to church on sunday. It actually tells us do not keep the traditions of man. The bible is very simple for the simple.

I was raised Christian. I had a lot of question and doubts. I talked to people at my church and asked my questions. The answers they gave me made no sense, if they would even give me answers some just ignored my questions and some got mad at me for "questioning God". I started studing on my own and even then I couldn't find answers in Christianity so I started searching elseware. I found the answers in Wicca. Now I'm a Wiccan Priestess.

Grew up Catholic, became an Atheist through learning about logic and science. Logic and science give me the best answers to the questions that I have... Except for subjects about music. That is why I am a musician.

I have never felt God's presence and I stopped believing in him altogether when I was ten years old. I have come to believe in the truth of science but also a spiritual world. I do not try to explain things I do not understand with false Gods and prophets.
