i have a problem of LBA.
In my x ray report it was written that the space between L5 and S1 is reduced.
i consulted a physiotherapist but it didnt work.
then i consulted an orthopaedics and he is providing me medicines and has prescribed me the physiotherapy( Shock Wave,IFT and ILT)
i take only - shock wave ,IFT and wax.
during winters, my pain was very severe but now it has come down.
i got the pain started after 15th december,2006
but it still pertains.
i also use a LS belt
I think the reason of origin of pain is sitting wrongly in front of computer....
The Pain Goes More Throgh The Left Thighs and very rarely in the other one.
I am undergoing the treatment since 20th Jan,2007

I think That the medicines (that contains analgesics of higher concentration)
has just suppressed my pain.MOREOVER THE WINTERS ARE GOING SO THIS ALSO HAS CAUSED A REDUCTION OF PAIN

QUES1---AM I THINKING RIGHT?
QUES2--*Is This Treatment Goin To Cure Me Comletely?***
QUES3--IS IT CURABLE?

first of all ortho is only giving u pain suppressant n not treating the root cause......
the more med u,ll take more harm u,ll do to urself...........
LS belt also only provides support to the back n prolong use wil weaken ur back muscle..

u havnt told ur age n exact problem is difficult to be diagnosed w/o proper examination

LBA moreover has n no. of causes....my advice is go 4 complete examination by a gud physio or ortho n den start ny treatment .

my dear friend LBA is completely curable if handled correctly

Lots of knee pains happen when the muscle to the kneecap tightens up and pulls the kneecap up on and into the knee binding it to cause the pain. Freeing up that muscle can give you relief so you don't need to see a dr. Here's how to free up that muscle, just be sure ot use a lot of pressure on it to make it work: Kneecaps: Do while sitting on a chair with no front cross braces between the legs. While sitting have your leg resting in a stretched position. Place both your thumbs, side by side, about 2 inches behind the kneecap and press down into your leg hard and then redirect the pressure a little towards the kneecap. After one minute slowly slide your foot back and under your chair as far as it will go, release the pressure but hold your foot there for another 30 seconds. For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. Most people have trouble with this and it seems that for those who try it a second time right away are more apt to get it to work.

Many times x ray angle deceives. As you are getting pains in winter your problem is different, i think.
Out of the five energies in your body the coldness energy seems in excess. Excessive coldness in atmosphere adds to it and its' increased level gives rise to pain.
Take hot bath/ steam bath, some light exercises under guidance of an expert and magnetic treatment with South pole on pain site will help you.
If you can get an acupuncturist your problem will be totally solved.

Degeneration of bones is irrevesible. You will have to live with pain killers. Ayurveda will help you to strengthen the surrounding muscles and nerves. Drink Noni herbal fruit juice twice a day. It works. I am a spina bifida patient and I am happy with the result.

You should really try a chiropractor. People either love em' or hate em' but I've heard from too many people that it has significantly reduced their pain.
