bring us free medical treatment or socialized medicine,,do some thing about poverty and starvation,end wars,better education,fight to end greed and corruption,also in gov.teach morality in schools,help bring peace and cooperation among all nations to solve the worlds ills,etc.

Most people don't know this (or are just in denial over this).

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICIANS.

This is a market driven event. When the market as a whole says no to oil and starts buying hybrids, the cost will go down (long term) because of a simple effect called "economy of scale."

You cannot legislate technological advancement - no matter how badly you want it.

So far, everyone has voted to have the nice guy in public office. That simply doesn't work. What we need is a real SOB. That means Hillary is the top choice to get our troops out of harms way. It will take nothing short of an SOB to get this country turned around.

imo "no" because the people with all the money and power over those things control the "office" ... it goes somthing like this ... the govts of the world borrow the money they spend literally ... contrary to popular belief taxes do not finance a govt ... taxes pay the banks back the interest on the loans they give the govts ... so the govts are the borrowers ... and the banks and people with all the money are the lenders .... therefore, as the old proverb goes .. "The borrower is servant to the lender" ....

No. The oil companies have to much money and all politicians a whores. And I like them, my dad and uncles are in politics but it is a said truth that money is what influences everything in this world including political offices. Sorry to burst anyones bubble.

probably not since the people we have to vote on are the ones with all the money. i heard it takes like 500 million to run next year. i know there are plenty of americans that can make a change, but just dont have the financial backing or they dont have a clue how to get a chance to run

lets see.....this is about the one billionth time this has been asked...not gonna happen. We as a people need things...the better the thing...the more it will cost. Oil keeps the world running...keeps the blood running..it will never end....
