Im 19 with a 2yr old and i was wanting to know what you guys think about a girl with a child does it bother you or does it scare you away? Or are you okay with it...

Why would a smart 19 year old guy with his whole life ahead of him, want to tie himself down with a kid....any kid, but especially somebody else's? It isn't a matter of running...just don't take on this HUGE responsibility before you have completed a college or trade course of study and have some idea of where you want to be in your future. At 19...you simply don't have the information you need to make an intelligent decision. I feel for the mother of this child, but I can assure you, the bloom of the appearance of being a "rescuer" wears very thin once the 'honeymoon' is over. I know. I took on a child that was still in her belly...stayed married for 5 years, got divorced and had child support to pay for another 13. I am an older man now. Don't make the same mistake I did. Kids are cute when they are young, but they become teenagers and are a heartache for their REAL parents. YOU have a choice. Don't make the wrong one.

Being a 19 year old with a child can make it difficult for a guy to fill comfortable with the situation, especially if your looking for someone in your age group.
But saying that their are plenty of good guys out the that do have the guts to take the roll of an acting father, and they are the ones that are truly worthy of strong women like a 19 year old mother.
Stay strong, the one will come around...

I am probably more mature than you want an answer from, but when I was young enough for 19-year-olds I would have found the idea of going out with a mother to be unthinkable. I didn't meet any teen-age moms in those years and never expected to. I was susceptible to infatuation with anyone who showed any interest in me, so I can imagine being infatuated with a woman with a child, but it would have been a huge barrier to a serious relationship.

It depends on the age of the guy. Some guys are okay if a girl has a child. Others can think it could take the attention from them. Right now, your child should be your #1 priority, the guy that is best for you should accept your child before he accepts you. He will have more respect for you in the long run. God bless!

Having a child should make no difference. If a guy is looking for a virgin or is afraid of family it may scare him off but he would go anyway when you had kids together and if he needs a virgin he has too many other head problems.

It would be ok. I guess as a guy at first you would also want to impress the child. and also make sure that the daddy of the child is not crazy or is going to get all crazy b/c there is another man in the child's life.

The fact that you have a child doesn't scare me. The fact that you are 19 scares me. You're a baby with a baby.

Depends on the guy. Honestly, most guys your age will not be crazy about it. As you get older, it won't be that big of a deal, as there will be many more single parents out there your age.
I have two kids, but am a little bit older than you, so it isn't as big of a deal.

Nothing inherently wrong with it. It's all about how mature you are about it. I know women who are well into their 20's, single mothers, who go out several nights a week and it appalls me.I wouldn't date them, but it's not because they have a kid. A kid just seems to make their true motives so much more apparent.

I'm cool with it, I love kids. Lots of times, it makes the woman appear more attractive and mature, you know she's not about games when she has kids.
