You might try making a budget. Write down all the expenses you have that are fixed - things that MUST be paid no matter what like rent, insurance, food, etc. Total that up. Now write down the net income that you get each month (after all deductions). Subtract the fixed expenses from the income - what's left is the amount that you can 'play' with - that is spending on non-essentials like movies, lunches out, coffees, etc.
Track the money that you spend and find out where you are wasting money. Are you eating out too often? Buying too many magazines or toys? What are you spending your money on? Do that for a week and you'll be amazed ... when you know where you're spending then you'll know where to cut back.
Don't bring money with you to work. Only carry enough for your transportation needs and an emergency. Leave credit cards at home - or cut them all up except one for emergencies.
Find a way to put something in savings every payday - even if it is only $25.00 ... put something aside.
It takes discipline to spend less than you make. At the grocery store, buy 'real' food rather than prepared foods. Buy things that will make several meals like a turkey or large chicken or roast beef. Use fresh fruits and vegetables that are in season - frozen and luxury items cost a lot more. Use beans for protein at least once a week - and tofu. Make your meals - don't eat out except for special occasions.
You can do it! I did. Good luck.

I get paid monthly and i work with a budget Every spendage i log it in. Its amazing how much i was spending on things i didnt really need. Like takeaway, CDs etc. Pay your bills first. Buy your groceries in bulk. Meat from the butcher things like that. It can make a big difference.
Goodluck.

First pay any house hole bills. You budget for each day and say today I need x amount of dollars for the day and only take that much money with you. Make your lunches at home it cheaper.
