Take the risk and ask him. You never know what could happen, and if you don't, you could end up asking yourself "What if..." later on.

Talk him into going as friends, and make it sound like it would be an opportunity of getting out of the house. This happened to me, a guy really seemed to like me and even asked me to the valentine's dance last night, and today he told me that he was dating a new girl as of today, but he still offered to take me to the dance. Pretty weird. Be careful of guys who can not admit their feelings. He was seventeen and I am sixteen. Guys around that age are weird. LOL. But seriously make it sound all like a friends deal, and talk to him at the dance. I am sure you guys can spend the weekends together if you did start dating. Relationships do work like that, but only if you make them work. Good Luck, and even if he does not want to go with you, still go, maybe you will meet someone new, or just have alot of fun.

You should just ask him. Your graduating anyway. I met my boyfriend when he was 16 and I was turning 18.. I was a senior and he was a junior. I wanted to go to prom with him but I didn't ask him (for the same reasons you have) We then worked together for a few months till I quit that job. About 3 months of not seeing him we started talking again... now about a year later... we're living together and planning our marriage.

Anything can happen.... but what I meant to say with all of this is... I wish I asked him to go to Prom.. but I didn't. So I kinda regret it. But we did go to his prom so I guess it's ok... but still - it was MY prom.

Good Luck!!!
